Brookland

Brookland is home to The Shrine of The Immaculate Conception, the Franciscan Monastery and The Catholic University of America, which helped it earn the nick name Little Rome. This Washington, DC neighborhood has a high walk score as it offers the convenience of easy metro access, shopping and a variety of dining choices such as Bus Boys and Poets, Brookland's Finest and Steel Plate to name a few.

The location offers an easy commute to downtown DC and Capitol Hill driving or via metro. The neighborhood offers tree lined streets and a lovely mixture of architecture from newly constructed multi-family apartments to older apartments, row homes and single family homes.

There is a lot to this Washington, DC neighborhood's history, but one fun fact is that the CVS Pharmacy on 12th Street is on the National Register of Historic Places.
