Washington DC Neighborhoods

This area offers dining, urban parks and Eastern Market. Eastern Market offers a variety of crafts, collectibles and produce. The closest metros are Union Station and Eastern Market. This area offers more indepently owned rentals than other areas and a variety of architectural styles.

Additionally there are Historic House Museums and gardens. Young Jack and Jackie Kennedy lived in Georgetown and Jack Kennedy’s inaugural Speech was written in his friend’s historic home. The closest metro is Foggy Bottom. 

Cleveland Park has many restaurants, shops, the Uptown theatre and the National Zoo. Cleveland Park offers a variety of architectural styles. There is easy access to Rock Creek park for walking, running, biking and roller blading. Some of the buildings in this area were once “apartment hotels” where people would come to spend time in Washington during the social season. Easy access to the Cleveland Park metro makes this an easy place to live without a car.

Woodley Park offers restaurants, shops, a lovely salon with spa services and easy access to Woodley Park metro. There is a variety of architectural styles including art deco. The neighborhood is also an easy walk to Dupont Circle via the Taft Bridge or Adams Morgan.

Adams Morgan offers a variety of restaurants, bars, unique shops and music. There is also a historic walking trail to discover this area’s history. You can walk to Woodley Park or Columbia Heights metro stations. This area has late 19th century and 20th Century rental buildings, condos, coops, row homes and apartment buildings. There are also loft style buildings in this area

Kalorama is in between Dupont Circle and Woodley Park metros and walking distance to both. It is also walking distance to Adams Morgan. There are many embassies in this area as well as beautiful homes in a variety of different architectural styles including row homes, apartments in row homes, condos and coops constructed in the early 1900s.

Dupont Circle is a vibrant neighborhood that has museums, a variety of restaurants, shops, private art galleries and historic homes.
